This article has been published in the issue 4/2021 (pages 23-34) of the 'Revista Segurança Comportamental' magazine as a way of supporting EU-OSHA's Healthy Workplaces Campaign 2020-22, following the 1st course in Portugal 'Investigation and Analysis of Professional Diseases', from the perspective of occupational hygiene.
Occupational diseases account for most part (86.3%) of work-related deaths, however it is surprising that they have less visibility in the occupational health and safety management system, compared to occupational accidents (13,7%). This article aims to support EU-OSHA's Healthy Workplaces Campaign 2020-22, following the 1st course in Portugal on 'Investigation and Analysis of Occupational Diseases' (IADP), from the perspective of occupational hygiene. The article includes concepts, a structure of the IADP procedure aligned with ISO 45001: 2018, as well as some researches, analysis, and intervention tools, according to the approaches of Health I & Health II, with practical application to epicondylitis occupational disease.
